Callously indiscriminate it strikes regardless of where and to whom. Age ,gender, creed, colour, sexuality or religion ,things like that - none of it matters.
Numbness ensues as the diagnosis is given, confusion and panic in one word. Curable? Terminal? Terrifying disease. What now? and how to tell close friends and family?
Every second counts. Every moment once taken for granted now becoming so very precious.
Regardless of all else that happens, find strength and keep on fighting…

a day in the wardi walk down the hallways of the children ward, i take a deep breath and walk into the room that once was mine, the room was just the same,a day in the ward
the same curtains, the same bed, even the same view out the window. i pick up a toy and look at it, a small shiver of fear runs threw my body and i drop it it hits the floor with a loud clang. i look to the bed then sit on it, it still feels the same and quite sob runs threw me. "no" i whisper and look to the bell, a small smile graces my lips.
i had dosed off and pressed it three times, it was the sign that someone was not breathing, i woke up as the 5 nur

i walk to school with 2 of my friends, well, i guess only one of them is a friend really, either way, getting to school was the same thing every day, get in, drop off bag in form, head up to the library. i sat down on one of the chairs in the far corner of the reading area, next to one of my best friends, lucy. lucy had a fairly difficult life, cruel step-dad, long school hours (as i did, as they now give 10-12 peice
